Upscale steakhouse, bar, and coffeeshop

Upscale dining in Sisters, or

Famille (pronounced fah-mee-yah), provides a missing element to the Sisters dining scene. Sisters mainly caters to an Old West motif, but was in need of something more polished. If the locals wanted to go somewhere with a more date-appropriate atmosphere, they had to commute the 30+ min to the town of Bend. Famille provides a more convenient option for the upper middle-class residents. They also operate a separate cafe and cocktail bar (le Bar) next door for those looking for a more casual option.

My client was looking for a brand that was upscale, classy, and an appropriate mood for a date night in Sisters. We pulled inspiration from the popular Dear Mom and Rancher Butcher Chef brands in Bend. We also needed an extra set of logos for le Bar, since that was a semi-seperate entity to the main restaurant. They had already chosen a green and gold theme.

I knew a script font would fit the main logo very well. Famille is on the main road in Sisters, so it was important to go with a very legible script that could be easily read from the road. After finding the perfect option, I customized the font with simple diamond elements. The coupe glass icon added an extra bit of flair, especially for the bar portion of the business.
