More Ease, Less Overwhelm
Olivia Baggerly Creative is a photography studio located in Bend, OR. With a cozy, moody, and rustic approach to her art, Olivia focuses on attracting clients seeking portraiture and storytelling.
It’s wonderful to work with anyone involved in the creative field, and especially fun to work with a colleague whose work you’re already familiar with! Olivia and I worked together in a separate company for a while, where we both became familiar with each other’s professions. I loved her style so much I ended up hiring her to do my engagement photos, where I experienced her talent not only with her photographic style, but also in her ability to get two nervous subjects to relax, act natural, and have a ton of fun during a shoot.
Olivia wanted a brand that matched her high quality, cozy-minded profession. In our brainstorming session, we discussed several different possibilities for more icon-based logos. Pumpkins, ravens, candles–basically anything that would feel at place in a cottage in the woods. Ultimately, we landed on this font based logo system that combines a modern stylized serif and a readable script.
To add some distinction to the logomark (OBC), I created custom cut-outs in the lettering for a little edge. Olivia already had a color direction with muted, fall-time colors that feel like a pleasant late October day, so all I had to do was refine them to be fully functional for her brand.
We used the One Concept Method for this process, and through lots of discussion and moodboards, the first concept was approved with no edits!
